Yeah, you put a nice artistic take on these issues.
As for the symphonic rock, i have to thank my wife, I heard her listening to some and was hooked. Artist like Within temptation" [link], Night wish(I like the original singer better--She has her own band now--but that's just me)[link], Epica [link]. These would be the top 3 I think, as you will see it is the blend of symphony and rock, some have made this blend sound very good others not so much. Hope you like.
